Steve Clark Functional Imagery Coach

Who We Are

Steve Clark

Steve is interested in how thought processes and emotions can keep people stuck in old patterns of behaviour, particularly with regards to stress responses and the importance of being able to regulate emotions.  He brings his experience in this area into his coaching, to help people become consciously aware of these aspects in the moment, so that they are best able to solve problems and move forwards again.

Steve is also interested in what motivates people to change, which led him train as an advanced practitioner in Functional Imagery Training under the mentorship of Dr Linda Solbrig.

Steve brings a diverse set of experiences to his work with people.  He previously worked as a managing director for an adventure travel company and led events in some of the most inhospitable environments of the planet; from the high altitudes in Nepal, Ladakh and Peru, to the Artic in Northern Norway, and the deserts of Morocco and Namibia.  After taking part in a number of ultra-marathons, he created and directed the Namibia Ultra-Marathon: a 126km 24-hour race through the desert to the coast.  A change of career took Steve into primary education, where he currently works, leading Social, Emotional and Mental Health provision in primary schools across a local authority.  Steve has the NASENCO award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordination and is currently studying for a MA in Educational Leadership at Edge Hill University.

Steve has completed International Coaching Federation (ICF) approved coach-specific training and is committed to, and accountable to the ICF code of ethics.
